Laura Dawe is a multidisciplinary Canadian artist based in Toronto. Her painting, installation, and video work contend with the domestic mania of political impotence. Dawe teaches a drawing workshop called Joyful Still Lives from her studio. She is also an arts instructor at Sheridan College. She holds an MFA from OCADU (2018) and a BA in History from Dalhousie (2010). She is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Director’s Lab (2012). Her short film Dreemer (2010) screened at Slamdance International Film Festival.
